Hey guys,I'm pretty new to Sonic Generations modding. I was wondering if anyone knows why the game keeps crashing on me. At the moment, I'm currently just testing ripping and placing models back into the game, using this process:1. Extract chrSonicHD.model from Sonic.ar00 (Generations Archive Editor)2.
Convert chrSonicHD.model to Collada/DAE (SGlvl.exe)3. Import.dae model (3DS MAX)4. Export scene (OgreMax addon)5. Convert newly export.mesh to.model (SGlvl.exe)6. Place.model back into Sonic.ar00 (Generations Archive Editor)7. Replace original Sonic.ar00 in game files (Using the Cpkredir method)Does anyone know why the game keeps crashing when I replace the original.ar00 with my 'copy'?I believe it's something to do with my exporting process within 3DS max (stage 5). The addon I'm using is this:This addon for Max allows the user to export:- As an OrgeMax.model- As an OrgeMax.meshI'm pretty sure the issue is there is no armature/bones in these exports.

I have experience doing this with other gamesI can get the geometry In game easy, along with common items (springs ect)But no matter what i do collision will not work.

Just a quick question.Is it possible to take out the wind blown BOOST effect from the music in Sonic Generations?The separate Boost track that's activated is hard-coded into the game and impossible to change, as far as I'm aware. While we're not allowed to post mods, I could move the Modern music onto anything from the Custom Music selection and send it your way.Does anybody have any idea if Classic Sky Sanctuary's Speed Shoes music is hard-coded into the game? I've attempted to swap it out for a mix I made of but unlike the mix I made for the music doesn't change at all; if the bit rate was off, it would just simply not play or crash the game. I've also swapped the files to play in the other's levels, and Sky Sanctuary's Speed Shoes music is still there.

For some reason, I can't find where the geometry imported to in the level at all, after searching all over.2nd.
I tried to change Sonic's spawn point in the editor, but when I open up the stage, it doesn't change.Can someone help me with these?EDIT: I'm not even sure the levels are actually showing up. I imported a model for Peach's Castle just fine, but when I tried an SA1 or SA2 level, I don't see them. I assume there was an import problem, I should check the log file.EDIT 2: Okay, I checked the ogre.log file, and there doesn't seem to be a problem importing. Perplexing.EDIT 3: I decided to repack everything anyway and launch the game with the mod. Sure enough, there's no level and Sonic immediately falls to his doom.

For example, when editing Shadows model and porting it back in, the fur becomes white because somehow there is no alpha applied. (And the eyeglobe gets all shiny as fuck). So I wonder if somebody could explain how to fix it in steps.I know how to fix alpha, but only for transparency. I'm not sure how one would fix your problem.:/. Okay, that works, and i can now test my modded levels, but I still can't see any of the scnery/terrain.
The only things i can 'see' are the gimmicks. How do I get a better picture of the level than just a bunch of white lines?Edit: Okay, found out that this only happens on certain modern levels (green hill and speed highway), and I can see the terrain just fine on the classic stages. Okay, I follow all the steps I've found when it comes to swapping models. I convert the chrSonicHD.model into a.dae with SonicGLvl, I throw it in 3DSMax, I delete Sonic's model and put in the one I want to use.
I seperate the body parts (head, arms, body, legs). I select each one by one and apply the skin modifier to each of them. I export as a mesh with the Ogre thing. I go into SonicGLvl, I select the mesh to convert to a model, and GLvl closes and I haven't got my freaking model, it's like it runs away and just laughs at me. I'm getting kinda angry with it to be honest, hahaha. Can someone please give a clear step-by-step on how to swap models?

Modern sonic becomes easier to control, less slushy, keeps his acceleration when airborne and more.
Danny McBride, the star, Jody Hill, director and supporting actor and Ben Best, supporting actor, all wrote the story of Simmons, a tae kwan do instructor in Alabama who's full of himself yet humbly insecure. Supporting characters jump in and out rather than contribute to a flowing narrative. There's really no plot until halfway through the movie, giving it that episodic 'this should be broken up into smaller, fleshed out parts' feel. Foot fist way full movie. Admirably, these three amigos try and create a character for McBride that is both a verbal machine gun of ridiculous phrases and someone who uses that same egotistical technique to work out his emotional problems. The only thing that stays solid is the rocky relationship subplot between Simmons and his tall-built bimbo wife (a rather untalented Mary Jane Bostic).
Classic Sonic plays exactly how you'd want him to play. (Unfortunately, it's not too compatible with other mods.)Improved Super Sonic: The ring cost for being super has been fixed, Supersonic now accelerates faster and jumps higher like he should.Unleashed project (as it was mentioned before) there's also ports of the DLC levels of Unleashed, really fun.Sonic 06 Project (work in progress): Takes the world and the majority of the levels from 06 and can now play it on Generations.

06 was terrible and nothing can change poor level design, but its at least bearable playing on the Generations engine. STH2006 is pretty great if prone to crashing a bit. Believe it or not it actually makes Sonic 2006 more playable than Sega ever made it. Without the horrible physics its only just odd choices in gameplay design and random engine incompatibilities (camera angles) and its about at the same level Sonic Adventure 1 is, imo.Actually its made me appreciate the level design to some degree. Other than the high speed sections, there are actually some good concepts here and there that might have sucked balls in the original game.

After seeing the absolutely amazing Dragon Road Act 2 Port posted by samothethief, I had to explore every nook and cranny of it, including the classic sonic act. The only catch was, I couldn't really get anywhere without a fire shield to boost along the water. I've been meaning to learn how to use SonicGLvl properly, so I decided to add dozens of objects to make this act playable - cameras, items, point markers, and of course springs.This is the result - a.Work In Progress. I mostly taught myself how all the cameras work, and the values that the springs need to work, and the distances by looking at other stages. Granted, none of this would even be possible without SonicGLvl, so I thank Dario FF and everyone else at Sonic Retro for that.
Sonic Generations 06 Mod Minecraft

Well, here it is folks! The result of months of hard work, here is the first demo of the mod. This is a one level demo.
Two acts are included, Emerald Coast Modern and Classic. The level slot used is Green Hill zone.
The white world has been updated. The original entrances are available so you can play the original levels if you'd like, without having to lose access to Emerald Coast (but they're not pretty). There are several features that are available that might not be immediately obvious. There is concept art in the game developed by Steven and I (mostly him), also the doppleganger missions do work, although they'll be abit more difficult and the ghosts will.

Look funny as they travel through the level. Cracking the ghost data is something we're working on. FULL MISSION SUPPORT WILL COME IN A LATER RELEASE.

I'm going to let you know why I chose to severely nerf the boost.- We're going to be designing 7 levels, both Modern and Classic. This leads to a total of 14 levels. We can't make each level several miles long or we'd never finish.- We want to capture the Adventure feel, if at all possible. Holding the boost for long periods of time seems to counteract this.- It forces the player to save their boost and use it when it is needed the most.Aside from the Endless Boost skill, there is a way to defeat the boost nerf.

My laptop can run the hub world at 15 FPS while it can run this level at a solid 60 FPS.Download.
