Windows 7 added a 'multiple picture Slideshow' feature to the desktop background settings. You are not able to make an animatedĀ GIF work normally, but you can break up the GIF into single frames and the slideshow feature will run it as if they were still together.Remember to order the frame numbers with zeros when naming them (e.g. Name001, name002, name003 instead of name1, name2, name3) to avoid the dreaded 1, 10, 11, 2, 20, 21, ordering.Remember to uncheck the 'random' box at the bottom and adjust the delay down to 10 seconds (the minimum). Obviously speed leaves much to be desired with the minimum delay between frames of 10 seconds, but at least you will get your moving background again.

Responded on 7/5/2016Hello, very sorry to hear the loss of your GIF files. We'd like to emphasize that the free version of GIF Viewer is INCAPABLE of deleting any of your GIF files, so the removal of your GIFs is unrelated to this app. We suggest find the true culprit so that the loss of your GIF files can be prevented in the future.Yes, you are right, as its name GIF Viewer indicates, this app is primarily for viewing GIFs like viewing video clips with pause, single stepping, etc. The Pro version has extra functions such as adjusting the speed, saving GIFs in different ways. Submitted on 9/16/2018 Review title of BkEvery feature you could possibly want!GIF Viewer does EVERYTHING you can imagine in the paid version.
The free version lets you view and zoom gifs while giving you a taste of what's possible by keeping the paid UI visible to see. GIF Viewer has features you NEVER even thought of but can't imagine living without. I'm in Graphic Design so Photoshop, Premiere Pro and the likes are part of my trade. As a result, very few viewers or editors impress me but this program WILL impress you.Update: It would be great if the viewer showed when you were at 100% zoom level aka the native size of the image. Also it would be incredible if opening a GIF in a folder @ desktop or otherwise would let you use arrows or scroll wheel to browse through them easily much like how Windows viewer performs. One last thing a button or hotkey to set GIF playback speed to 100% After those things we're talking about perfection.
Submitted on 6/23/2017 Review title of UnknownVery Simple & Organized, BEST Gif Previewer app/programI like that I can view all of my gifs and at the same time be able to click and view each individual one with just one click. I use this app alongside PhotoScape when combining or creating gifs, makes everything so much easier as I can just Alt+Tab and view all of my gifs and the newly created ones and preview them in action. Makes it much easier to see slight differences whether positive or negative when comparing your creations especially the more similar gifs. No double clicking, No hunting for particular images and gifs. I cannot fully express the much appreciated, necessary importance of the simple one click view. They are all there on the side like a folder with thumbnails that you can make as large or small as you like by clicking and dragging. You can PAUSE your gifs.

Perfect tool to go hand in hand with your animation or photo-shop program. I use Photoscape but GIMP is a very fun and useful program to use with this.

How To Make Gif Screensaver Windows 7
So I split the gif into it's individual frames and tried that way, but even on a 'Fast' cycle it's still very slow.I was wondering if there was some way I could have this specific GIF as a Screensaver either through windows or an external program (Tried 'Giphy', but I can't figure out how to make it only use this 1 GIF I have) OR if there was a way I could have a setup to fullscreen and cycle through those images or simply display the animated GIF fullscreened in a way that makes it seem like a Screensaver.
